Revelation Part 3 Precept upon Precept - What Is the Sign of His Coming and of the End of the Age?

"And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’" (Matthew 24:3)

Dear Precept Students,
Based on the encouraging feedback to our previous Precept classes by e-Mail we would like to offer another such class this fall.  The topic will be the Book of Revelation Part 3 - a study of the end time events in chapters 5-22 and the parallels between Revelation and the words of Jesus in the Gospels.

Our intention with this class is to provide an opportunity especially for those among you who would like to study God's Word inductively together with other believers but who do not have access to a Precept group (however, if you are involved in a Precept group this does not exclude you from participating!).

The main advantage of an e-mail class is that the participants are not bound to a particular location or weekly meeting time (which is one reason why we will not use a chat room or similar means of communication); on the other hand, there is a major disadvantage: the personal contact is lacking, unlike in a Precept group whose members meet every week.

For a partial solution of this problem I would like to again make the e-Mail-addresses of every participant available to all other participants of the class. Plus, I will ask the participants to use the “reply all”-function of their e-Mail software when sending in their answers to the discussion questions, so we can all read each other's contributions to the study.

Here is what we will do:

The participants will be asked to complete the lessons in the Precept workbook by the dates of the class schedule (details see below).

We will take two weeks for each lesson. Every two weeks the participants will receive a set of discussion questions for each lesson by e-Mail and will be asked to send in their answers by the due date.
I will send a lesson summary to each participant within one week of receiving their answers.

The class schedule is as follows (please note that the following dates are subject to change!):

Friday, September 18, 2009: participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 1.

Friday, October 2, 2009: answers to discussion questions for lesson 1 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 2.

Friday, October 16, 2009: answers to discussion questions for lesson 2 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 3.

Friday, October 30, 2009: answers to discussion questions for lesson 3 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 4.

Friday, November 13, 2009: answers to discussion questions for lesson 4 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 5.

Friday, November 27, 2009: answers to discussion questions for lesson 5 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 6.

Friday, December 18, 2009: answers to discussion questions for lesson 6 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 7.

Friday, January 8, 2010: answers to discussion questions for lesson 7 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 8.

Friday, January22, 2010: answers to discussion questions for lesson 8 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 9.

Friday, February 5, 2010: answers to discussion questions for lesson 9 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 10.

Friday, February 19, 2010: answers to discussion questions for lesson 10 are due; participants receive the discussion questions for lesson 11.

Friday, March 5, 2010: answers to discussion questions for lesson 11 are due.

Precept Ministries International published a Precept upon Precept (PuP) workbook on Revelation Part 3 (consisting of eleven lessons) which we will be using for our study.  The price for this workbook is USD 19.25 (Euro 14.00).
